Areaman Productions recently completed production on a series of films for Pivot Dublin - Dublin's bid to become World Design Capital 2014. Red&Grey Design along with Emma Curley Architects, Areaman Productions and IADT Design Lecturer, Linda King successfully won the tender to produce Dublin’s bid submission for the World Design Capital 2014. The ambitious application was initiated (with the support of the four Dublin Councils) by the Dublin City Architect, Ali Grehan.
'Conversations', is a series of films, shot in three architecturally significant homes across Dublin. Each film features five people with diverse opinions on design, engaged in lively, thought-provoking discussion. The films focus on the potential legacy of Dublin as World Design Capital and have fed into PIVOT Dublin’s four proposed themes: Connecting Cities, Making Cities Lighter, Making Cities Flow, and Making Cities Smile.
'Dialogue' - a series of filmed questions and answers with participants from design, business, education and social backgrounds was also produced. Contributers did not know the identity of the person who selected them, but they did know whom they, in turn, put a question to. The films can now be seen on the PIVOT Dublin website, designed by Red&Grey Design.
The site includes a design focused blog with contributors from across world, a continuously updated design agenda, design success stories, a design timeline, educational and professional design information, the PIVOT Dublin films and much much more.
