Good news! Dublin is one of just three cities worldwide to be shortlisted to become World Design Capital 2014 (56 cities across the globe expressed an interest).
The International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (ICSID) announced on 21/06/2011 that the prestigious designation, awarded biannually to cities that use design to benefit people socially, culturally and economically will be awarded for 2014 to Dublin, Bilbao or Capetown. The winning city will be announced next month. emma curley – architecture / urban design / facilitation were appointed to produce the Dublin World Design Capital 2014 bid alongside Red&Grey Design (http://www.redandgreydesign.ie) and Areaman (http://www.areaman.tv).
